We all have shadows we hide deep within ourselves that we don't wish to acknowledge. We fear these aspects of our personality, that we worry if they're exposed to the light, others will be unable to love us and we will be unable to love ourselves. So we keep them hidden, hoping they never rear their heads. If you look in a shadowy corner, you may indeed see something dark but as soon as you shine a light there, the shadow disappears. The same is true of our shadow selves. When we expose it to the light of consciousness, the shadow is no longer frightening and we can reignite these aspects of our personality into our whole being.
BLACK TOURMALINE - Use black tourmaline to draw out your shadows and send them down the drain. Fill a bath with warm water and add 1/4 cup of himalayan pink salt or sea salt and one or two pieces of black tourmaline. Bathe for at least 10 minutes and then remove the tourmaline from the tub and allow the water to run down the drain. Remain in the tub, visualise the shadows going down the drain with the water. Get out of the tub when the water has completely drained. Cleanse the crystals before you use them again.
ROSE QUARTZ - When you love yourself unconditionally, that means the whole of you, including your shadows. Use rose quartz to help you develop self-love, even for your shadow parts. Hold rose quartz as you do the meditation.
MEDITATION - Lie on your back with your eyes closed, breathing normally. Visualise your shadow aspects as actual dark shadows in your body. As you repeat the mantra for at least 10 minutes, watch those shadows lift away from you and dissipate.
