'i accept the moment as it is + release anything i do not have the power to change.'
it is advised that all emotional + spiritual pain arises because we get stuck reliving the past or worrying about the future, rather than surrendering to the now. this is also a central tenet of Buddhism. when difficult things happen in our lives, acceptance may be difficult, but refusing to accept what has happened leaves us stuck in pain + negativity. acceptance + surrender are big steps in moving forward.
● apatite - a stone of acceptance. keep a piece tucked into a pocket near your heart or wear a piece around your neck.
● apache tears - when we experience trauma, our emotions can get stuck or frozen in our bodies. apache tears help this frozen river of emotion start to flow again and release locked up grief. they are ideal to carry when you are doing grief work, trauma recovery, or therapy for old emotional wounds. these smooth stones are effective for relieving disappointment and turning it to acceptance. hold apache tears in your hand as you repeat this verse of the serenity prayer;
'God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things i cannot change,
the courage to change the things i can,
+ the wisdom to know the difference.'
TIP; many people believe that surrender shows weakness, but it is actually a sign of strength. allowing yourself to surrender to those things you cannot change, empowers you to focus your energy on taking positive steps toward the future.
'it is very important to note that before using, touching or interacting with any crystals or crystal remedies, you should always consult your doctor. crystal therapy is not a replacement for medical advice, practices or prescriptions. crystals work in tandem with physical care.'
